Fresh Page Fresh Start & Ready to Begin Again

If you’ve been following along, you may have noticed that things went a little quiet around here for a while. Life has a funny way of throwing curveballs when you least expect them. And the last six months have been filled with both challenges and growth for me and my family. Between diving headfirst into my side hustle printables business, creating new content for this blog and juggling everything life throws your way. I’ve learned so much about resilience, money and the power of simply starting over.

Add to that some very personal struggles. Moving from two incomes down to just one, navigating health issues and saying heartbreaking goodbyes to two close relatives within the same month. It’s safe to say the last season has been heavy.

But here’s the thing I’ve come to realize, every hard season eventually shifts. Every pause gives way to a fresh page. And now, here we are. A new chapter, a fresh start. And a renewed commitment to sharing tips, tools and encouragement for anyone trying to juggle money, family and everyday life. So, let’s catch up and dive in together. Because sometimes, all it takes is picking up the pencil and starting again.

When Life Pulls You Away (and Teaches You Something in the Process)

The past few months taught me what so many of us already know deep down. Life rarely goes to plan. From the outside, it might have looked like I was “just taking a break” from blogging. But in reality, I was working behind the scenes while also trying to hold it all together for my family.

  • My side hustle: I poured countless hours into building my printables business and honestly it’s been such a refreshing change of pace from my usual blogging niche. From designing and testing to tweaking and figuring out the ins and outs of selling online. It’s been a mix of excitement, exhaustion and a whole lot of learning. It quickly became not just a side hustle but also a welcome creative outlet. I’ll be sharing more of that journey soon because I know so many of you are curious about starting your own and I can’t wait to show you what I’ve learned along the way.
  • Family changes: Going from two incomes down to one was tough. Really tough. It forced us to look at every line in our budget and make some big decisions about what truly mattered. This experience gave me so many new insights into family budgeting and stretching every dollar.
  • Health & loss: When you or someone you love faces a health scare, money suddenly feels secondary. And losing two close relatives in less than a month… well, that shakes everything you thought you knew about priorities. It reminded me of why I do this work. Because life is fragile and managing your money isn’t just about saving for the future, it’s also about making today easier, lighter and more meaningful.

These lessons weren’t easy but they reshaped how I think about money, family and purpose. And now, I feel more ready than ever to bring that perspective back here, to this space and share it with you.

Why A Fresh Start Matters

Starting over can feel scary but it’s also powerful. Whether it’s your finances, your career, your health or even your mindset. Sometimes the best thing you can do is wipe the slate clean and begin again.

Here’s what I’ve learned about fresh starts:

  1. They don’t have to be perfect. You don’t need the “perfect plan” to begin again. You just need to take the first step, even if it’s small.
  2. They bring clarity. When you’ve been through something tough, you see what matters most. For us, that meant simplifying, decluttering and focusing on quality over quantity.
  3. They create momentum. Once you pick up that pencil and write on the blank page, things start to move. Progress leads to motivation and motivation leads to more progress.

If you’re in a place where you feel behind, overwhelmed or just plain tired. I want to remind you – it’s okay to pause. And when you’re ready, you can always start again.

What to Expect This Season

Now that we’re back, here’s what you can look forward to on the blog:

  • Practical Money Tips – We’ll cover everything from simple budgeting hacks to ways you can save money on everyday expenses. Because money management doesn’t need to be complicated. Sometimes the simplest changes have the biggest impact.
  • Family Budgeting Ideas – As a family, we’ve learned (sometimes the hard way) that a budget isn’t just about numbers. It’s about communication, priorities and finding ways to make life work on what you have. I’ll be sharing strategies that helped us move from two incomes to one without losing sight of what matters most.
  • Everyday Life Made Easier – Life is busy. Between kids, work, home and everything else, it’s easy to feel stretched too thin. I’ll be sharing tips, tools and even little printable resources to help make your days run smoother and feel lighter.
  • Side Hustle Insights – Since I’ve spent the last six months knee deep in my own side hustle, you can expect more posts about what’s worked, what hasn’t and how you can build something that actually fits your life.

A Gentle Reminder for You

If you’ve been through a hard season yourself, let me offer this gentle encouragement – you are not alone. Life can be messy, unpredictable and unfair but it can also be full of fresh starts and second chances.

Your financial journey may not look like anyone else’s. Maybe you’re digging out of debt. Maybe you’re saving for your first home. Maybe you’re just trying to make it to the end of the month without feeling like you’re drowning.

Wherever you are, I want this blog to be a space that reminds you it’s possible to create a life that feels manageable, hopeful and even joyful. Because money isn’t just about dollars and cents. It’s about peace of mind, confidence and having the freedom to focus on what matters most.

Fresh Page Fresh Start

So here we are – a fresh season, a fresh page and a fresh start. I’m so grateful you’re here with me and I can’t wait to dive back in together.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing practical money tips, family budgeting strategies and little ways to make everyday life smoother. My hope is that something you read here encourages you, helps you save a little or simply makes your day feel lighter.

Because at the end of the day, we’re all just trying to make life work and sometimes, all it takes is picking up the pencil and starting again. Here’s to fresh starts, new beginnings and brighter days ahead.
